![]() As you can see, he used the right bits and everything works fine. It was noted as having been made in the 60s by a tech with Leslie parts, to connect to a church organ. ![]() Once I had the bug, I looked for some options, and I found a local custom Leslie for sale. ![]() It proceeded to take up room for about 25 years until I told my mum she should get rid of it. My dad took the speaker out to try to hook it up to the satellite dish (? he was ahead of home theatres I guess), and it never made a sound again. I snuck in a picture of the exact Lowrey model we had at home when I was a kid. Seemed to be kept under a cover most of the time. As you can see, it was mint and very clean. I also saw an M3 but it was sold before I got to it. Facebook did show me a few Hammonds, though, and there the bug bit me. I am actually a fairly competent drummer that got the keyboard bug, so I'm starting from way behind. I've focussed on learning piano properly (up to grade 8) to get the chops, whilst dabbling in mono synth playing throughout. I never thought I'd own one and I never messed with the organ sounds on my keyboards much. Background: I've always been a fan of Hammond organs through my liking Yes, Pink Floyd, and other bands. OK, so after posting random questions, here is the promised full thread.
